went to the tackle shop today to pick up the top which had a paper round it photo copy Drennan carbon parts collection form with the rod model which is acolyte ultra 15ft with the date of purchase 25 /1 /2018 and says on it action taken not replaced

As has already been suggested, write a letter to Peter Drennan, you’ve nothing to lose other than the cost of a stamp.

I worked in Customer Relations a long time ago, I’d suggest you keep writing to them but I wouldn’t be aggressive or threatening and as s63 says escalate the complaint to the md/owner and keep going until you get a reply from their office.

Unfortunately all manufacturers have to put a limit on replacing something as fragile as a fishing rod, a year is probably quite fair imo
