Looks like the Black Death's days may be numbered

EU Parliament has voted for an EU wide Management Plan

Press Release here

It'll not please the the bird lobby

But it didn't please us when the Pratt at the Ministry put them on the protected list through his ignorance.

What goes around comes around, I'd suggest!/forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Serious question i've been asked, would birds of prey ie: Harris hawks, Peregrines attack Cormorants ???

A mixed fishery owner has asked because of the decimation of his 'silver fish' stocks.

What All raptors do do to other birds is spook and unsettlethem. I think the two you mention are not big enough to take cormorantsdue to their size.

Effectively, the fishery owner by using a licensed Falconer, would only move the birds on. Much as Airports do when they usea Falconer'sservices.

Sea Eagles on the other hand can and do/forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif

Hmmm... A Minister is responsible for listing species in the Red Data Book?

There's news!

not these folks then?

The ICUN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) maintains an international list, published as the Red Data Book.

ps, best hope one of the countries opposed isn't France, or Germany!

Mr Fox it's neither of the two you mention both voted for it according to the information I received.

Correct A Minister does sign the order based on the recommendations from his paid Civil Servants advice. Wouldn't pay them in washers comes to mind!!!!!!!!

And as you have acknowledged a Pratt in that service cocked up!

The day's of the Black Death are numbered throughout the EU.
