What is the equivalent shot for a no 6 and a no 4 super stotz?

Is a bb shot the same as a no 4 super stotz? I cannot work it out!

I was under the distinct impression that super stotz had a direct correlation to the equivalent numbered shot. If in doubt, get your pellet scales out and weigh them. A BB shot should be 0.4g, AA is 0.8g, No1 is 0.3g, No4 is 0.2g, No6 is 0.1g.

Is there any reason to think they aren't the same as regular shot? 10s and 8s regular Stotz are the same weight as regular shot, near as dammit anyway, 8s are actually 0.058g. As Preston don't actually state the weight I would think it's reasonable to presume they are the same.

As far as I can make out all a super stotz is is a stotz with a bigger split. The sizing will be the same as ordinary shot...if it isn't and Prestons have come up with a sizing system whereby their no 4 = a Bb then it is the most stupid idea in the world ever.

Apart from Brexit and Trump. ( how long do you think I've got ? ):wh

They are usually just jewellers scales. You know you've got it bad when you start weighing (and/or sizing) pellets. Plenty of folks do though. Can't say I miss it!

I assume .177 rather than BB! I never did this and don't plan on starting now! I still have at least a dozen tins!!!
