I bought a job lot of tackle... but there's a few bit I don't recognise.

Can anybody help please?

I can assume in the third image I have pop ups for dead baiting... but do I remove the spindle and rig them on to trace wire?? Also, what are the red tabs?

Thanks.

The red tags are , I believe , bait tags! They are attached to a barbed hook to differentiate it from the barbless! I have no idea about the rest !

The first pic is of leger stops. The pegs trap the line in the collars after they have been threaded on. The running leger weight was stopped by this at whatever distance you wished from the hook.

All the best

Pic 1 are feeder stops put the line though to loop & use the peg to trap the line
Pic 2 use it the same as a feeder but soaked with liquid additive
Pic 3 are bait flags and insert floats to pop up dead bait

As others have already said:

These are Leger stops:
Just thread the round bit onto the line and then push the small plug into the hole to secure it and stop it from moving on the line.

This is just a Foam Feeder:
I still have a couple of these amongst my other feeders. They can be loaded with live maggots which crawl into the foam and then crawl out when the foam gets submerged. Or you can load it with wet groundbait (but not too wet).

These look like deadbait pop up aids; if so then I think they are threaded onto the trace wire and pushed down the deadbaits throat to make the deadbait start to rise off the bottom, making the deadbait more visible to a Pike.

You're being silly now Kevin, if it was a vintage cloak it would be dirty and crinkly (bit like me).

Sorry, I now realise if you do study the picture you can make out the subtle patina indicating years of wear...

Well I can't see it Benny, so since you posted it must've pupated, hatched and flyed away.
