Another very sad day

Sadly Mike Townsend passed away yesterday.
Mike as most will know was well known for his catches of big roach and often feutured in the angling press with some tremendous specimens.
A near local angler to many in South Yorkshire I had the pleasure , as many did of knowing him and also seeing him fish.
A truly nice man and a Roach angler that was hard to find better.
Gone far to young.

Michael was an excellent angler and one in the older style who was more than happy to trot a stick float after his favourite fish, the roach.

Over the years Michael was very active on here as well as the "other channel" and he will be sorely missed.

As a relatively young man he has been taken far too soon . . . .

I was only chatting to Mike by text less than two weeks ago , such a big shock late last night when I heard he had passed away!
