I agree Phil it's not great but a fishing chair takes some stick for long periods, in all weathers and on uneven terrain. In fairness to Preston they sent me and Keith a full replacement part without quibble and even allowing for my lack of diy skills, it took a few minutes to fit.

Your Hepplewhite and Eames chairs are a different matter but you won't see them on the bank.:)

Wouldn’t put me off buying another, any problems I’ve had with Korum tackle, it’s always been replaced for free, only think of two things this has happened too, and that’s in twenty years or so, this version of chair had only just come out, when I bought it,
Maybe just teething problems.

At the end of the day, it’s a good comfy chair, and very useful with the wheel and handles fitted, and being able to fit lots of attachments is a plus too.

Had a JRC Specialist X-lite for 10 -12 years Mike. Used until recently 3 times a week, thrown up and down the banks of the Ribble, Dane, other rivers and a few reservoir stone banks. Chair's still as good as new bar the chipped paintwork. Has it's own fittings, most of which I've made to fit it.

I hàve no doubts Phil that certain chairs like most things in life are better made than others and stuff made today isn't made to last.

I have a Kodex chair which was replaced free of charge when a leg kept collapsing. Both of my chairs were well out of warranty but repaired/ replaced free of charge and without quibble.

Such service deserves a degree of loyalty in my book so I will stick with them. :)

I’ve had every chair under the sun and now have The Holy Grail - Nash Indulgence Sub-Lo Camo. Light, strong, with arms and good padding. Had mine 3 years and no problems.
