Hello, new member wanting to revisit old spots,- Ive seen old comments on River Ryton, anyone have info re getting access to Red Bridge, despite any weed build up, or the river in Blyth.

Ho Mart, welcome to fm. I live not to far away and go thro Blyth on occasions.
I look at the river from time to time but like you I have no idea how to gain access to the Ryton.
Its a lovely little river that has history of good Dace and a few years ago I read of it turning up a few Barbel so someones got access .
Maybe upstream around Worksop???
Anyway, if you do find access let me know by private messege here and i'll do the same likewise.

Thanks for replies, I see Red Bridge has two arches closed, and is overgrown, - theres a pool where the river and Oldcoates Dyke meet, at the water level meter pull in, going up to A1 roundabout, difficult if allowed.
