Probably just me but I like to blot out the voices in my head when fishing ( burn em all ) with some music
Audio books are very good - I recommend William Shatners autobiography ( he admits to selling shatner pants )
But I want a radio having discovered radio 6 ( from someone on this Forum )
The last radio I bought lasted a phenomenal 400 hours per battery ( and I steal the batteries from work ) but the new ones only seem to last 20 hours

Can anyone recommend one that might last longer than the average carp session ?

If you want Radio 6 you will need a DAB radio. I bought a Pure DAB radio with solar power plus rechargeable batteries as back up. I use it in the garden for the cricket etc. It runs out of juice in about 6 hours and needs mains recharging.

If it were me I would use my phone which I would have with me anyway and buy a quality power pack to recharge the phone. They are small and quite powerful. I have one which will even start the car!!!
