Drennan have discontinued their Super Specialist mono, the b@st@rds,I use this for hook lengths for barbel, they have bought out a camo line,I have 100 yards left,so a few years,so now I will start looking, the SS was a pale light translucent green colour which I liked and was very, very strong,I suppose they weren't selling much for reel line, which was it's intended use,as it is quite thick, diameter wise....

Stock up Alan wherever you can find it if you like it! When it's gone it's gone!

The Drennan Method feeder line is good for the barbelling on the Great Ouse, Whitty.

I use the 10lb straight through and have never been let down by it.

Cheers for that mate, funny enough I was in a t.shop Monday and liked the look of that colour wise,it's packaged so couldn't actually look.

I’ve used that, along with Guru Drag Line and it’s good stuff, but nowadays I don’t look beyond Daiwa Sensor original.

I use the Guru N-Gauge for hooklinks I tie myself but I tend to be lazy and buy ready-tied Preston ones in 15” & 4”. TBH I would use Maxima Chameleon for river hooklinks if I still fished for barbel.

I use Maxima Chameleon for tippets when fishing the fly for salmon. All the ghillies on the Spey recommend it and that’s good enough for me.
