Hey guys, I was very lucky to fish at the chew valley pike trials this weekend. The weather Saturday was biblical and it shut the fishing down.
We had a couple of follows from pike/ perch and very large trout, I believe a 29lb pike came out. Day two the water was dirty and fishing was slow. There was signs a pike mouthed my dead bait but no hookup. We eventually cracked the enigma with lures.... soft plastics were not working.... savage gear 4play suspending had several jacks and an aborted take from a very large (20lb+) pike, plus several trout.
In total a bit of a disappointing result....
