Having been rushed into hospital in the early hours of Thursday with chest pains and just sent home today it made me realise just how good life is, I thought I was a goner. Now due back for op and test over the next weeks hopefully I should be well by Christmas.
Whether I go fishing in the future I up to my wife..
So make the most of your fishing you never know what’s round the corner

Get better soon . Why is it up to your wife. Does she do the driving. A day on the bank must be the best thing going for ones heart.

If you have a heart attack it's a one month automatic driving ban. A stent is one week and from memory an angiogram two days. Chest pains have other repercussions!

Yes all the best Steve.

Six years ago I was rushed into hospital with exactly the same symptoms as yourself so I understand.
Do as you are told and you'll soon be back on the bank.

Thank you for your messages. What I should have said in the near future it up to my wife to drive me if I go fishing. Pleased to say it's not a heart problem but I do have to have my gall bladder removed, also bowel work and kidney damage looked into.
I am starting to feel like an old man but seeing some in hospital made me realise just who lucky I am just to have these problems.

Good luck, hope it all turns out alright, getting old, not a lot of fun but life is still to be enjoyed. Make adjustments as you go along.

At least you'll get the right treatment Steve. NHS get some bad press but they are fantastic.
All the best Steve, stay well.

You're not an old man Steve. You're someone who's facing the problematic side of life: to be healthy and feel this for many years, you need to live long and to maybe have been unhealthy.
I hope you recover, and that family and favourite hobbies help speeding this recovery.
