Starting to get the idea that my fishing journey is coming to an end. With health problems and an operation lined up for March I can’t see myself back on the bank till the Summer which means that will be a year since I last went. Even the thought of loading up the car and driving 30 miles to my nearest club water gives that can't be bothered feeling.
The problem is I don’t really miss not going, will I go again I don’t know.

Get better feel better. It's not over until you say it is. Heck, loading up the car may not be that bad a deal if you go light and having a friend drive you just to get out and breathe the fresh air. It would will still be better than staying home (unless your post op condition won't allow it.)

In any case, good luck.
