s63 and Mark Wintle nail it above, I'm rubbish at anything that involves a long wait. I like to think of fishing as a kind of puzzle that I'm actively trying to solve, it will likely require different solutions and different applications as a session progresses.... however, anything that involves just waiting and I will get bored very quickly as it won't feel as though I'm trying to improve things.
Funnily enough, I've never fished matches (except some hilarious social knock-ups between 2 or 3 mates) however I can avidly watch Jon Arthur's match fishing videos and always click with that mindset of having a plan b, c, d etc... I also have a bit of a reputation amongst my mates who I fish regularly with for changing swims, as I just won't sit there and wait!
