I would like to buy some Plasti-Kote Orange Glow and Yellow Glow paint for float tips.

I have been to Hobbycraft, B & Q and Homebase.

All stock the Plasti-Kote range, but not these colours.

Does anyone know where I can get them?

I live in Warrington and work in Bolton, so anywhere near would be convenient.

Don't forget Humbrol Acrylic Paint. Waterproof once it's dried and perfick for floats.

Don't forget to put on a white base coat too!

I think the £6.98 is for the large aerosol brewart.

I'm after the small brush on pots (about £3.50 I think).

I'll pop in and ask them to order them for me.

From what I understand Matt already has a large aerosol !!!!/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif Although why you would wish to search for it in the dark is beyond me.......

Forgot all about my artistic side, but just remembered this.

They are artists paints, very fine quality, but will work just as well as Humbrol.

Then again -See this

Google it! Let your fingers do the walking.

They no longer do plasticote paint in fiery orange or yellow brush on applicationthat is the answer I got when I emailled Plasticote direct.

So I had to change to another paint and the person I use is the same link that chavender has supplied you above I got the 250ml tins in hi vis orange, red& yellow and havent had a problem with them, if anything they are better than plasticote and the 250ml tins will last for a couple of years.

Thanks chaps.

Yes, Plasti-kote confirmed today that they dropped the Orange Glow B27 and Yellow Glow B29 2 years ago.

So I'll be looking at the alternatives.

George, do you make your balsa float bodies from scratch or do you buy them ready shaped?

Hi Matt,

A bit of both, I like to try and make them from scratch but also have a stock of pre shaped bodies which I bought, it all depends in the free time I have and what frame of mind Im in at the time but prefer to make them from scratch time permitting.
