Of its the money factor. Its ALWAYS the money factor. I'll have a look at CF. I read an issue or two a few years back and although it wasnt carp folk were fishing for, it was all specialist and all invloved sitting behind 3 rods on buzzers. I tried TCF instead, an enjoyed it. Although I rarely tried any of the methods or venues it had plenty of variety, so much I read the second issue front to back the other day. i did that because the new issue had turned into IYCF full of stuff about F1 capr and pellets. Now I do a bit of that so cant knock but my heart sank. Problem is they'll sell more copies writing about that that fishing for roach with tares.

After all that has been said on this thread a good angler will be consistently more successful on whatever venue he chooses but that does not make that angler necessarily considerate for others on their chosen venue and despite what their level of ability they deserve clear water without excess bait near them(if they were there first,if not they should be informed)after all we are all just trying to catch some fish.

Nothing wrong with F1's Quiver man or the pellets its the fact that every method that comes out has to be plastered over every publication in christendom, instantly blowing some poor b******s hard work to kingdom come,it shouldnt be called IYCFit should be knaff your course fishing, grumble over,Alan.

All...many thanks for your comments. It appears I have touched a chord whith a lot of anglers out there. I have been writing articles for some time but I have never received as many emails, texts and phone calls from fellow anglers offering their positive message and agreement with the sentiments as I have in this article.

Its reasurring that there are still anglers out there who feel as strongly and passionately as I do about what angling should be about.

Thanks again guys...

Cheers

We'll have to lure him out on a similar event up North.

Bet he can't resist the sensuous delights of Edgeley reservoirs!

(So impressed was I by the article I took out a subscription to CF - make sure you get commission Gary/forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif)

Seem,s to me Gaunt, you and Knowles think of nothing but sex when fishing, judging by your bivvy antics.

Also seem's Knowlsies blow up doll Sylvia is a much better than your Betty, a cheaper model.

Personally I think your just jealous, I have seen the Betty one, full of spot's
