For river Wye anglers and visitors.....Due to the fact that the Old Bridge river gauge has been vandalised the old Wye river report number is no longer working but there is a number available for the Wye levels up towards Hay on Wye, it is 01497 847990. It takes approximately four to five hours for those levels to reach Hereford.
Apparently there are no plans to renew the Old Bridge gauge because it would cost in excess of half a million pounds so to do added to which it is sited right where the Canoe lunatics want to build their launching site which they won't be allowed to do.
There is another number that gives information on various points along the Wye but as it is an 090 number I won't bother putting it on here.
