    Default The new MAP baitrunner

I noticed an advert in Matchfishing this month for a new reel being launched with a new innovative automatic release clip up system, its the ACS 4000 sold by MAP. It looks interesting this automatic release for when you are clipped up if it works of course, not sure how it works because it isn't due for release until the end of the month so little is written about it. Not a bad price at £69.99 which no doubt will soon be on offer at a lot less but so far no details of weight, bearings etc.

Looks to me that the clip is pushed into the piece below with the line inside, and a hard pull will dislodge it and the line will come free.

The clip must surely be firm enough to withstand the force of cast hitting it otherwise it would keep falling out which isn't much use to anyone. Think I'll wait and read some reviews before I would even consider buying it, not in baitrunner form but when they incorpaorate the system into their ordinary reels.
