Guess it depends on the angler in question Dave. Put it this way if I ran my own fishery and I could be sure that it would only be anglers like you who turned up then I would have no problem with allowing keepnets, trouble is not everyone is going to be the same. I have seen too many nets of fish taken from the water with a few unfortunates at the bottom being slowly compressed into fish cakes!
