I've spoken to Ian Welch and he has agreed to take you mottle crew on.Rik you joined the SWAG lot first so I think you should fish for them.
Ian has kindly offered fishersgreen as a venue.
No disrespect to The Reverend Bloor but Brummie you can keep him.
Rik you have my home number so could you pass it on to Stuart so we can have a natter about this.
The Gauntlet has now been officially thrown down.

Now listen here bearded one (Rik how big his he??) if we have a handicap like Sedge then it's only fair that you lot have one too, like no line on yer reels!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sedge, another fine mess you've got us into!!!these guy's actually fish the RMC waters!!!
We will have to let limestone arrange our return venue, they might freeze to death upt North!!!!!!!!!

Wey hey, up the Swaggers! Bring on that RMC crew, we'll show 'em what their waters really hold. Where is Fishersgreen? What's in it? Er, any redfins?

Dai the roach.

Fishersgreen is amixed venue. There are two lakes and the old river Lee plus the relief channel. In the lakes there are the usual species but these are hard lakes. The river and the relief hold 7lb Chub,12lb plus Barbel,30lb plus carp,9lb plusBream,4lb Perch,Roach to quite a size but hard to catch.Big brown trout and a few Tench. There are also some lovely Dace swims.
Should be fun.

Fishersgreen is Neil and Ian's home venue.
I think we may lose the fishing, but with our Northern bias we'll win the drinking comp afterwards.

I've never fished the green, but I know some people who have and as long as we stick Neil on a stillwater then we'll be OK.

BIG, BIG chub, loadsa carp and barbel.
Big rods, big baits and hang on for dear life.

A return venue of the middle Severn would seem about right, those RMC boys would think that was the English Channel.

The challenge appears to have been accepted on the RMC site, so you SWAGgers had better take a look at Fishersgreen

I think some format and rules need to be addressed, just so we can break them.

Have any of you guys got any ideas for the Rules then.Being mostly a bunch of northern scallywags I'm sure they will be bent anyway(the rules that is).
I have left a message on Stuarts answerphone to contact me so as soon as he has we can sort out a date.

Stuart you may well regret your words my friend, this is being taken as highly serious by the RMC guys.Training and selection sessions start on the 16th June and will continue untill the perfect squad has been assembled.
Thats a joke we will scrape together the most mottley bunch of no hopers you have ever seen.

Perhaps we could adopt the masters style rules we used for the North v South match last year e.g. 15 points for biggest fish of any species caught, 14 for second etc., only one fish of any species to be counted to any one angler. Winning team highest combined individual scores.

If interested I'll dig out the full set of rules and post them on here.
