stuck it out on a Lincs resevoir last night until well after dark for carp which are supposed to be feeding well. The sky darkened and the rain, then hail came down in biblical proportions. It looked like it had been snowing. Both me and my gear were soaked through so I spent today clearing the mess up in the garage. I blanked to boot. Still tomorrow is another day ( a wet one so the forecasters say).mg:

Please don't laugh at this as I'm speaking from a very distant memory, but didn't the grayling record back in the late 50's early 60's (when the tench record was 8lb 8ozs for yonks!) stand at 7lbs 2ozs??
Even at a lb it is a stunning looking fish, and good eating from what I understand..
