I'm after some opinions on Lines eg. floating lines for river fishing about 2.5lb,waggler line about 3.5-4lb, and a good feeder line between 4-6lb. Have been thinking about Drennan Double Strength or the good old Maxima what are your opinions please, any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Kirky,
you have just mentioned the two most popular lines I hear of people useing.

I have been a fan of Maxima for years, mainly because I know by feel how much pressure I can put on a fish before the line breaks, especially in breaking strains of 6lb or less. after that they can tend to be a bit wiry for my kind of fishing, which is mainly chubbing.
I find that it will float or sink just as well.

Other people I know swear by Drennan Double strength. for their feeder work.

I have'nt really tried any other brands, maybe it's time I should, such as the flouro carbons.
