A clear river meant that the bream didn't feed again. Very few skimmers were caught although Keith Ford the organiser managed to catch one or two on 'the boards' for a section win. All the other sections and the top 8 places were roach catches.

Overall the weights were dominated by 'roach bay' on the pole and waggler. The winner, Micky Mirgaux, had 3 roach estimated to be over a pound in his catch of largely quality roach with lots of small ones. Malcolm Runacres 2 pegs away had most of his fish on the waggler.

1st Micky Mirgaux - Deben - 26lb 3oz
2nd Malcolm Runacres - Deben - 22lb 15oz
3rd Glenn Carter - Nisa Waveney - 21lb 7oz
John Taylor - Sensas Mark One - 19lb 7oz
Mick Hanks - Gt Yarmouth - 18lb 2oz
Robert Hubbard - Angling Direct - 13lb 12oz.

Overall, Nick Larkin (Nisa Waveney) still leads and although he won his section today with 12lb 3oz his weight wasn't enough to increase his overall score that only counts the best 8 weights. Robert Hubbard on the other hand hasn't fished 8 matches yet so his 13lb 12oz has closed the gap on Nick's weight. Rumour has it that Nick won't be fishing next week as he is on the Broads champs but Robert is so there could be a shock on the cards if those bream feed. I know where I would be Nicky! There is ?500 for first and ?300 for second and as Nisa Feeders Nicky's company are putting up the money he ought to fish the Yare.

Overall total of the best 8 weights of the matches fished in the series so far are :-

Nick Larkin - 280lb 4oz
Robert Hubbard - 271lb 11oz
John Taylor - 235lb 9oz
Andy Moss - 212lb 1oz
Glenn Carter - 202lb 11oz
Brian Weavers - 189lb 10oz
Ward Smith - 188lb 10oz
Richard Watson - 187lb 12oz Close but no coconuts!

so it looks as if it is going to go to the last couple of matches after all. It has been a great series so far and although there were no huge bream bags today, there were plenty of roach to keep people busy all match.

Only 29 fished today due largely to the Cross Drove weekend final.
