I think in 20 years of pole fishing I've tried all sorts of roosts, spray bars etc.
My conclusion is, every time you put the pole in a roost you get that unmissable bite and you have either a catty, or a cup of tea in your hand..
Try to learn how to keep control of your pole with your elbow, knees and one hand and use your spare hand to eat, drink etc. Then once you get that right learn to feed with a catapult (using both hands)whilst holding your pole with your elbow and thighs.
Practice is the keyword with pole fishing.....
