Winter is proper fishing, if you can get on the rivers, plenty of bites when in decent nick. Same on the cuts except in diabolical conditions.
Stillwaters, find some silvers and you're in. But then ... you know all that.
We used to say, winter is proper fishing cus only the serious anglers are left !
Combat the cold, (not normally a problem) and it's job done.
