Years ago I always fished matches but lost interest when I got to a certain age. Well yesterday we had a little match to raise funds for an old friend who's not been well of late.
The fella in question was very good to me and got me involved in a club when I was twelve and it was his kindness that really allowed me to follow my passion.
So it was a real honour to have won the match yesterday with 19 bream for 58lb!
We raised about 700 quid for him too and had a bloody good laugh doing so. I just wish he could have been there with us.
