  1. Default Looking for a match rod suitable for canal use

Im looking for a decent canal rod i remember a few companies used to make specialist rods but i think theres only one now.
I have been pointed in the direction of the Drennan MatchPro Ultralight 11ft but i dont think the times i would use it would justify spending that amount of money.
Has anyone got any other suggestions of a suitable rod?

I think you are limited in your options with a specialist canal rod. I use a 13ft Preston Excel which excellent, as its no longer made and you may be able to pick one up second hand.

    What's your budget?

One or two companies have made specialist canal rods over the years, saw one on ebay a few days ago but can't find anything just now.

If it doesn't have to be new or immediate, be worth considering.
