Update on the idiot whip fisher

Thought id put this up just as a little update as so many people have been responsive and helpful on my threads.

I sought some help from the old man before i went whip fishing again and he invited me down for a little lesson on the pole,hes been match fishing for best part of 30 years but now mostly just pleasure fishes.

So went down the canal using his kit and he showed me the basics of pole fishing and i loved it,absoloutly brilliant,managed countless small fish,Perch,Roach,Daddy Ruffs , a few Breem close on a lb and then a bonus 5ish lb carp which was well more than i expected,was happy with the small ones.

Cheers, went again yesterday by myself and had a great day, using a pole again.. Mostly small fish every other time I shipped out, and a Perch around a lb.

Yes he's got me fishing and taught me enough in a few hours for me to go out catch fish and tinker with my rig setup and make my own rigs, no more of those cheap unwindables
