Hello there! My name is Alex and i am from Romania. I am glad to have found this fishing site and forums, while browsing through the stuff here i have found some interesting info which i wasn't aware of until now. I will definitely have some questions to ask around here.:D I am mainly after predator fish, number 1 on my list till now is the Chub(very fun trying to find the big one aswell as staying hidden) and im only using spinning tackle.

Well i'll be lurking around here for more interesting things and also asking some questions.

Welcome , I've got a bit of a soft spot for lure fishing for chub as well ( more like an obsession really ) good to have you aboard .....

Welcome to FM Alex, there are some very very good specialist lure anglers here. I'm sure they will be more than willing to offer any advice you require.

Well i can't tell you in pounds but there have been caught many ranging between 1.5-2 kilos and bigger ones up to 4 kilos, but these are pretty hard to catch.
I'm not proud to say this but on our rivers there are quite a few poachers that have come up with various techniques. Although recently i have seen a decrease in poaching but its still present :(. Also worth mentioning that the catch-and-release system is still in, shall i say, development here.I always fish in C&R style, sometimes bringing home a couple for me to eat. The rivers here don't belong to any clubs and everyone can go fishing if they posess a permit, but its prohibited between April until the 4th of June.
My biggest catch up until now was 1.4 kilos on a small river that i often fish. However as in previous years i hope i'll get the big one this year:)
