Newbie from Notts hoping to start fishing the Trent.

I'm looking to get into some River fishing. Barbel, Chub, Carp, trotting or ledgering anything really. I live in Carlton in Nottingham so have easy access to various parts of the trent.
Just trying to get some gear together and thinking of Joining Notts AA....

Any tips would be great !

You could try Beeston mate, its day ticket as well as being on Notts AA book so you can try it out before you join.

I haven't been there yet but planning to on either Friday or Monday

Welcome to FM Lee.

Notts AA is a good value book to get and they have some very good water at Gunthorpe below the weir (amongst other places)... it can be quite busy in the summer but often deserted in the colder months.
