Hello,


My name is Frédéric and I live in Lille in the north of France.
I am 51 years old and I have been fishing since I was a child.
I discovered waggler fishing in the late 80s, since I do not fish anymore than waggler.
I had to stop fishing for a decade because of lack of time.
Today I rediscover the new equipment and new techniques, including the waggler pellet.
Unfortunately, in France, waggler fishing has practically disappeared and is often forbidden in carpodromes.
Glad to be with you and please excuse my level of English.

I'm intrigued when you say waggler fishing has practically disappeared in France and banned in some places...
Maybe it has something to do with anglers inappropriately using lighter float rods and tackle when targetting big fish?

Waggler fishing is one of the most enjoyable methods of all imo.

I assume you mean pole fishing in matches on the carpodromes where reels arn't used, but instead waggglers are replaced with pole floats instead?

I think it comes mainly from some (unruly) feeder angler who annoy pole fishing angler.
Knowing that pole fishing represents 90% of the anglers in the North of France, the calculation is quickly done for the owners of pond.
It's still a pity to amalgamate between feeder and waggler ...

Il semble que la pêche au wagler soit plus populaire mais elle est interdite dans la plupart des endroits parce que les pêcheurs à la ligne sont indisciplinés?
