As a newcomer you may or may not know that fish will get tougher to catch as winter bites. Just lower expectations if thats the case! Spring soon comes round.

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum.
Have you fished the river Dove which runs close to where you live yet? It looks like there are some nice Barbel and Chub in there.

I will certainly be asking for tips as I go on I haven’t fished the Dove yet but have joined the Saracens head fishing group who have a couple of stretches on the Tean and Blythe which are supposed to be good too. Wish I’d discovered fishing years ago
