    Post philip

my name is philip, i consider myself a bit of a purist and as such make my own floats and being able to use what you make is the most satifying part of my love of fishing, rivers and lakes are my first love but i do go carping now and again but i like patrolling the banks looking for one or two good uns, i dont mind if it takes me all this summer this year i will net "old white lip" a big chub thats escaped me for the last two years, he just hangs back far enough out of reach so his little brothers get hooked first!

Hello Philip and welcome to FM.

There are a few fellow purists who are regular members so you will feel at home pretty quickly I hope.

Scholars have long known that fishing eventually turns men into philosophers.

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to buy decent tackle on a philosopher's salary. ~

Lots of good stuff on float making in the FM archives-I make my own as well but I've picked some good tips from other posters!

    WELCOME ANYWAY!!
