Chumming The Shallows In Hawaii!
I've shown some underwater videos of using the Spydro Camera while fishing. This unit also comes with a form fitting foam jacket to be used on the surface as well. I found if you let it float the vids are at a 45º downward angle. When i used a 1-3/4oz lead egg the unit sank. A 3/4oz egg was perfect for shooting at a 90º downward angle. I chummed the area using my "palu" mixture of white bread w/water & vegetable oil.
I started the day off with 2 live goatfish from fellow angler Allan Ho. A cuda chomped-up the first one and the second took a huge 3sec strike which sliced through the fluorocarbon leader. All day i was getting hits but nothing stuck. The only fish i was able to bring in was my "favorite" catch the Porcupine Pufferfish, this being the Burr Fish. Lucky me
