Section of Fishery or river stretch: Watford Colne
Date: 23/09/06
Time fished: Late afternoon - early evening
Weather conditions: Bright and some wind
Water conditions: Reasonably clear & steady flow
Air temperature: warm
Water Temperature: not taken
Bait: meat, corn & bread
Method: Meat on running ledger
Results: 11 lb mirror (1st river carp)
Brief description of the session & remarks: Spotted a few fish feeding off the surface from the bridge but spooked when I put some crust out. Spotted them again from bridge and put out a bed of chopped meat and corn tight to a overhanging tree and weed bed. Let them get their heads down then put a bait in. Hooked up after 2 or 3 mins of bait being in swim.
