Results : a few dace on maggot. 3 nice chub upto 5lb 13oz on pellet and corn, not as many bites as i would have predicted and i cant seem to find those barbel at the moment.

Results : just one little snig for 9 hours fishing, but I'll get there eventually. Saw Jim's Chub, very nice, I must try harder!!!!

River was not in good nick and was bordering on the unfishable. Fished a new stretch so after a long walk i can find it now.

Results : one eel and one wrenching bite that took the hook (must check hook knots more frequently!!)
Apart from the lack of fish it was an eventful night: saw a hare and a badger and pulled a muscle in my leg running from a too frisky bullock! (That one must go in Reasons to be Careful part 2!!)

Results : 2 Dace, 1 Chublet and 1 eel
Struggled converting Dace bites into fish at long distance and it wasn’t until dusk when the bites became more positive that I made contact.
Interesting however! while landing one of the Dace it was taken by a Pike about 3M out which hung on for quite some time. While retrieving my empty swimfeeder form the next cast; the Pike also also hit the empty feeder.

Worst session I've had in the 3 years of fishing the Warrington stretch at Balderstone. 2 Bootlace eels and not much indication of anything else.
The river looked perfect but nothing much happening. One thing I will say is the place is getting absolutely hammered. I left at 9:45pm and the car park was more full than when I arrived at 3pm. Must have been 12 cars in there. Methinks the fish are becoming a little wary of the standard pellet approach.
Time for a change of tactics.

Results : A really enjoyable morning: nothing big but a good mixed bag of small chub, dace and roach plus a brownie.

Comments : I wish i hadnt had to pack up due to work commitments cause it was fishing well, the river needed the rain of monday. Quite a few sea trout showing out as well.

Comments : New stretch for me on recently acquired preston centre card. Failed to get a bite and certainly failed to find the ribble barbs.
Plenty of fish crashing out but certainly salmon/seatrout not chub or barbel.

Comments : Might not have caught a barbel but i did see one. Dived one of the well known swims for a look round before fishing and saw a couple of barbs. Collected 25 various feeders and a feeder rod and reel from the snags so i wont need to buy any feeders for a while.
Fishing not right good, we really need some rain in the rivers.

Comments : Both fish caught in first hour thereafter only occasional fast snatches. My fishing companion had 4 'bills' to over 9lb, last two after I left.
