Brief description of the session and any remarks........... Trotted a swim that had given me a good bag in the past,but after two hours without a bite I moved to a slacker area and used a cage feeder with mash and flake for hookbait.The river switched on at 17.00.fish topping everywhere, bites started coming,had about six roach all half a pound
and then they switched off again at 17.45.

Results ..........Six chub between 1 and 3lb.
Brief description of the session and any remarks.......Fed two handfuls of mash before making up rod,had three chub in first three casts then lost a really solid fish that kited under a tree,had three more chub up to about 14.30 all from the same swim then nothing,no bites in several swims on leger or float.

Brief description of the session and any remarks..Lots of anglers around,from far and wide,Brum,Cardiff,all over, only a couple of chub caught in the a.m. as far as I know,I didn't have a bite,tried rolling meat and legered cheesepaste in a couple of likely looking spots in between feedering.Packed early and went to the Avon to try for a chub.

Brief description of the session and any remarks......I had to go, it being the last day,stayed long enough to drink a litre of tea and get my fag papers wet.

Brief description of the session and any remarks......Fished a shallow, narrow run using various pellets in funnelweb and boilies. Was getting some sort of fishy indication for quite a while before a definite bite @ 18.15.Landed the blackest barbel I've ever seen,normal colour on the belly but black on the back.This swim doesn't normally produce for me in eve so moved to Avon.

Brief description of the session and any remarks.....It was actually a barbel society "fish in" so the place was fairly heaving,walked all of long meadow without seeing any thing,went up to the copse and almost gave up and went to the Avon but found a swim on the way back.Baited with seed which brought two barbel out,something spooked them though but I settled in anyway(I had a book to read)got Dace bites on wheat,changed to boilie at dusk and had a barbel @19.55 .

Brief description of the session and any remarks...Probably not a good idea fishing today in the conditions, the air temp was less than the water and dropping constantly,wind from the east,needed more weight than expected in every swim I fished,and I was the only person there,I think everyone else had the right idea.Once Tottenham scored their third I packed up and went home.Maybe next week.

Brief description of the session and any remarks...Walked upstream fishing about five swims and then fished back down again,got first bite in second visit to the first swim,just a twitch, so recast and held the rod,another twitch, shoved the rod tip towards it about 24" and after a few more seconds it developed into a better bite,6.14 chub(new PB) ), no more bites in there so moved on to one more new swim and had a 5.12.That's a bit more like it.
