Time fished:6 hours
Weather conditions:Fair, slightly overcast.
Water conditions: Low & clear
Air temperature:
Water Temperature:
Bait: flavoured meat and Paste
Method:Feeder and leger
Results:1 chub around 3lb
Brief description of the session & remarks: The river is still at summer levels and consquently running clear. Large shoal of small barbel spotted rooting around in the glides below the fast water, but they were very spooky and were not tempted by my bait. The fishing should improve after a decent bit of rain!

Section of Fishery or river stretch: Undisclosed BAA Stretch
Date:31 July & 02 August
Time fished: 5 hours & 7 hours
Weather conditions: hot & sunny
Water conditions: water very slightly coloured.
Air temperature:
Water Temperature: hot!
Bait: meat, maggot, caster & pellet
Method: leger & feeder
Results:Total for 2 days: - 8 barbel to 9lb
Brief description of the session & remarks:
Large shoals of barbel & chub could be seen in the deeper and more shaded areas. Every now and then a group would split off and patrol the area in search of food. Baiting up a couple of the areas where the fish patrolled seemed to draw more fish away from the main shoal. The Teme is a very clear river and whilst this makes fish spotting easy, it also makes it easy for the fish to spot you and spook. Considering how hot & sunny it was and the clarity of the water I was quite pleased with the result.
