Im about to have a go for one or two of the pike on St johns lake, does anyone have any info they can give me about the fish in this water. I was going to drift to cover the most possible water, what sort of depth should i be drifting at, do the fish hold up or chase the smaller fish into certain areas? any info would be good

Thanks......

Criag all I can offer is that the margins are alive with prey fish first light and dusk.I would sugest a paternostered bait in the margins. As for drifting I know a number of good fish fell to this tactic last season. The depth along the bank opposite the workins is between 9 and 13feet once past the shelf. Try varying the depth starting shallow (where the prey are early morning and gradually deepening the bait as the day goes on.
