Today I picked up some of these lures, mainly minnow and roach designs.

Later this week I'll give them a bash on the river to see if I can tempt the perch.

My first mini lure session the other day went OK but with this heat I saw the bigger fish were hanging back perhaps lethargic?
I could not slow the retrieve enough which I think was required due to a layer of weed from the bottom.

I have just retrieved my light fly rod from the back of the rod locker. Next time at this lake I will try mini plastics on a fly rod and floating line.
Who knows....worth a try?

The lures shown are 3-4" and ony for bass. Note the Roman numeral numbers indicating inches.)

We know them as Ned rigs, great for perch. What country are you in Spoonminnow?

Also, why do you cut off the hook point? That cannot be good for the welfare of the fish.

If interested, I can show you how to attach it. No soft plastic will ever slide down the hook! I won't use grubs without them.

Interested. Do you make the grips yourself?

I really must get a box with foam in it to organize my jigheads, they're getting kinda messy.
