Hi Keelin, and welcome mate.

I have pike fished (lures) at Beeston quite a bit over the years, though not so much recently.

We always seemed to do better from the Weir sill, down to the first bend. But the first seven or eight pegs always seemed the most reliable. Especially when the river carried a few inches of extra water. Usually good for a few mid doubles and occasionally a biggie, to bait or lure.

Sardine produced some nice fish to my mates. Hope this helps.

Any queries, don't hesitate to ask.

Bit abrupt Fred don't you think? The lad has been a member since 2007 and like me has no doubt lost the history of his previous postings since moving over to the new site.

Used to get bothered by Pike from the weir down to the bend when fishing for silvers many years ago. they used to nab the fish just as you were bringing it in over the nearside shelf.
