Just planning some of my fishing for the forthcoming Spring/Summer...
Hoping to spend some time on a large (approx 200 acre) natural lake that has some big shoals of good-sized bream with a scattering of decent tench.
I can only manage single days, so plan to put out a moderate amount of bait at the start then put a pair of feeders out fairly frequently (every 30min) - in two trips last season this proved very effective on one occasion.
I used a marker float at the start for baiting up and for getting the distance right (using marker braid) on my feeders, then put the marker float away.
To improve my accuracy I was considering leaving the marker float out throughout the session, using a backlead to keep the line pinned.
Do others do this, or am I just overcomplicating things with an increased chance of crossed lines?
