The 'friends' feature is for inviting others from this site to 'befriend' you or you them.

As for 'smileys' well, I'm the wrong person to ask, because if it were up to me I'd delete the lot of them.

I'm sure though that one or two regulars will tell you about them . . . . .

PS: The only silly question is the one that was not asked . . . .
