Having recently taken up fishing again after 30 years or so, i have rewatched all the fishing programmes on Sky featuring Matt Hayes and occasionally Jan Porter.
I was saddened to learn in this weeks angling press that he has died of cancer aged just 60. I never knew or met him but he came across as a decent bloke and very knowlegeable on all aspects of fishing.
He is certainly calling them in and too soon for my likeing! Better get more fishing done to make up for lost time.
My sincere condolences to his family.
