This is a true antique* brass and ebonite slamon fly reel dating c 1880.
4-1/2" diameter ebonite back and front cage, brass face plated with polished tapered horn handle,
* 2 screw face with oil hole, no check clicker, German silver rims, 7 decorative turned pillars with orinal screws and exposed cusps,
correct 95mm brass foot, the reel weighs 560 grams.
ideal to match up with greenheart or early cane rod
