Hi,
I'm new to this so hope I've posted in the right place!

I'll be visiting Belfast in the next month or so and would appreciate any advice on Sea Fishing locally. There is some great coast line I'll be bale to reach up to the Giant's Causeway.

Shore or possibly chartered boat as well as any tips on where to dig up bait would be great. (Also any useful web links)

I am not an expert in Sea fishing, but have rudimentary tackle.

Many thanks in advance

Kevin

Try Strangford Lough in County Down to the South, as it is a vast relatively shallow bay, almost totally enclosed, largely sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds. and it holds amazing amounts of fish. There should be plenty of boats available for charter from any of the local villages - best option is to check in with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, or possibly one of the sea angling federations which may be able to put you in touch with some of the local clubs / associations...

Grand spot altogether. Enjoy!

Thanks Kieran,

I crossed Strangford Lough on a ferry boat to visit an aquarium a few years back. The tide was going out and the current at the mouth was incredible.

I'll follow up you suggestions.

Much appreciated.
