what is the best all round sea rod?would like to use it for lures and floatfishing

Any old carp rod? My old abu entiser (can't spell it) great pier, shore (in calm seas - super flattie rod), lure and float rod.....

Any 2..5lb or 3lb test curve carp rod I guess - or the rod as described above.
