im lucky enough to have been given an apollo extreme 140 the butt ring is 26mm inside diameter will this rod be ok to use with a fixed spool as i dont own a multiplier

Yes is the answer. You can use a fixed spool on a multi rod, but you can't use a multi on a fixed spool rod
