Going for holidays to Halkidiki (Greece) in July and gonna take small spinning rod with me in hope to nip out couple of mornings/evenings for a cast or two.

Did anyone fish around there? Any advice for tackle, bait, location etc? My greek friends over here told me that there are no rules or regulations to follow and it seems that locals use one and only bait - bread.

I haven't been to Greece for some years now but, unlike the UK version, the mullet in Cyprus were suicidal for bread...

Use a bubble float and floating bread in the evening for mullet in the harbour ….

Float fish about 6tf deep with squid strip for bluefish…

Try later at night under the harbour lights or beach with a squid jig…

Be careful of fire worms they look like a red hairy worm that will sing

also the scorpion fish will sting
