    Re: Shimano 8 metre whip/pole

    Re: Shimano 8 metre whip/pole

It is a whip so shouldn't be elasticated and is used as a line to hand whip.

I have a Milo version that is telescopic for the top 3 sections and take apart for the rest.

    They were designed to...

    Re: Continental manufacturers of tackle

I very much like Sensas kit, everything from their poles to their split shot having many years experience of using all sorts, and some of their pole floats are top class.

    Re: Best bait for tench

I’ve never had too much success with mussels so tend to stick to worms and/or corn, both natural and flavoured.

    Re: Monster carp

That is because to my mind P4A is the standard to which others are compared.

I have nothing against Carp fishing and in fact spent the best part of a decade targeting them.

  9. Re: Returned to fishing? What changes have you noticed?

While there have been many new changes to the sport of angling in the last 30 years those tactics you employed when you were 15 will still catch fish . . . .

Re: North Sea Cod in danger again

The only benefits will be to the five families that control the sub letting of uk quotas.

While the water may be ‘ours’ the fish are free to follow the temperatures they feel more content with.

I have read reports that with the gradual increases to the sea temperaures that the Cod are moving further north, so is that another reason why they are becoming less common around our waters?
