    Re: I Concede.

We fish for fun, when the fun stops, stop. I'll fish in any weather when the mood takes me but if I get up, its cold & wet there are times I cant be ar*ed so its a lie in and a brekkie
  2. Re: A soggy day at Boddington ressie....

Good choice of venue Simon, if you can get it off the ground in the spring, I'll be back. Only went to return Jerry's walking stick, sorry "Bank Stick", did the PVA buy him a fish? Credit to Simon...

    Re: Sad news

Been away a while, terrible news to come back to, like others, Graham and I "crossed swords" on the odd occasion but there was always respect. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to his family and...

    Re: River or Commercial?

Rivers for me, hopefully it's the Cleddau tomorrow but before everyone knocks "carp puddles" remember that one day they may be the only waters that you can safely access :wh:peep:
  14. Re: Rivers contaminated by powerful insecticides at 'chronic levels' of pollution

The recording of neonicotinoids in the Chelt doesn't seem to be damaging fish stocks where it meets the Severn, I fished it for the first time this year and would say it's teeming with dace and chub.
  15. Re: Trotting on the Severn. Advice on tatics and equipment.

Method will be determined by the stretches you decide to fish. Some of the swims around Arley can be pretty fast and shallow, if you go down towards Stourport around Ribbesford, you find deeper...

  19. Preston Innovations Equis Rod

There's a 15'0 version (2nd Hand) going for £80 locally, had a waggle seemed pretty light and over £100 cheaper than a new 15'0 Acolyte plus, given that I don't fish big rivers that often, any...

Day of mixed emotions on the Salwarpe Sunday. On the bank at 8.30 and had the river pretty much to myself apart from a couple of guys moving down the far bank spinning for pike. Two biteless hours...
